This course aims to help educators learn about Computational Thinking, and how computer science materialises this thinking skills. It increases educators’ awareness of CT, allows educators
to explore examples of CT that can be integrated into their subject areas.
- Illustrate what Computational Thinking is.
- Troubleshoot students’ challenges in an open-minded manner.
- Develop strategies and solutions for facilitating students’ learning with the optimal use of technology.
Eleanor is an independent master trainer for Ministry of Education Malaysia where she trains lecturers from Teacher Training Universities on the project called “Computational Thinking and Computer Science Teaching Certification Programme for Master Trainer”. She obtained her Master Teacher on Computer Science Golden Certificate from Carnegie Mellon Robotic Academy, Pittsburg, the US in 2015. To-date, she has trained up to 130 lecturers and about 300 teachers on Computational Thinking. These educators were from Taiwan, Korea, Vietnam, Philippines, Indonesia, Australia, Cambodia and Malaysia.
